1. Who can become a LIC Agent?

Any Male or Female

2. What is the Minimum & Maximum Age to become a LIC Agent?

Minimum: 18 years & above; Maximum: No Upper Age Limit

3. What educational qualification is required to become a LIC Agent?

A pass in 12th Standard (A Pass in +2 exam)

4. Can I work on Part time basis along with my present Occupation?

Yes, you can work on part time basis; you can utilize your free time and earn income.

5. Is this a commission based or salary based profession?

This is a commission based profession; no salary is paid to Agent. Commission is based on your business performance. More business more commission.

6. How much can I expect as commission every month?

There is no limit to your earnings. Your commission depends on the quantum of business you procure on a regular basis. Sky is the limit; you can even dream beyond the skies.

7. What is the procedure for becoming a LIC Agent?

  • 4. 50 Hours / 8 - 10 Days Off-line Class Room Training on Life Insurance
  • 5. Appear the online Exam conducted by IRDA

  • 7. Apply for the License
  • 8. Get Product Training from your Development Officer
  • 9. Start doing Business

8. What are the documents required to be submitted along with the application form?
  • 1. HSC / +2 / Degree / PG certificate copies (3 Copies each)
  • 2. Residential Address Proof (For Identification purpose) (3 Copies)
  • 3. Copies of Pan Card (3 Copies)
  • 4. Latest Colour Passport Size Photographs (6 Nos)
  • 5. Fees: Rs.625/-

10. Is it compulsory to attend the 50 hours training to become a LIC Agent?

Yes, it is compulsory. You have to attend the off-line class room training, it’s mandatory.

11. I cannot attend training as I am working; Is there any other way out?

Yes, for those who are working, cannot get leave for 8-10 days to attend training, can go for Online Training where you can train yourself in your free time with the help of Internet. For more information contact us personally in this regard.

12. Where is the training conducted?

13. What is time schedule for the training?

Training Timing: from 10 am to 5 pm
Break: 1 pm to 2 pm.

14. In which language is the training conducted?

English and Odia

15. How is the exam conducted? What are the Pass-out marks?

The Examination will be conducted online; it is an objective type exam with multiple choice questions. There will be 4 options to each question; you have to select the right option. Total 50 questions and each question carries one mark. You need to answer within 1 hour. There is no MINUS marking. Pass-out marks are 18 out of 50.
